Apple's First Vehicle Patent Is - A Tank?

Hi guys, I'm a little worried about Apple's new patent. I get it, the iPhone has become a stale, boring slate with a crappy camera. We all believed that Apple would one day take over the world, but then it faced stiff competition. So how is Apple supposed to take over the world now? How about a tank?

Apple's first vehicle patent is not a tank, per se. It's a strange, articulated vehicle (something like a train) with tank treads. It's also boxy, like a tank. No weapons were included in the patent.

According to Patently Apple, "Apple is the assignee of this invention from BAE Systems Hägglunds AB designs Sweden. The company manufactures and markets military vehicle systems. The company's primary products are infantry fighting vehicles (IFV), armored all-terrain vehicles (ATV) and turret systems." So yeah, this is strange. See for yourself.

So is Apple going to take over the world with military force? Was their 1984 ad a warning rather than clever marketing to sell computers? Only time will tell.
